Syrian ambassador to China, Khalaf AI-Jarad, said that Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region has made a great progress in the past several decades.
"I think people in Xinjiang will have a great future. If they stick to their faith of development, they will make even bigger progress in the next 20 years. Xinjiang will be an important part of China in the future."
AI-Jarad added he had a 4-day visit to Xinjiang in mid-August after the riot in Urumqi, the capital city of Xinjiang. He said he condemns the riot, because its aim was to destroy the unity and ethnic solidarity of China.
The exhibition will run until September 17th.
