用哪个连词

在做宾语从句练习题过程中碰到一道题：Do you mind  ____   I come to your party ?   
该用that 呢还是用 if/whether 呢？（参考答案用if）
补充：在初中英语教材里有类似的句子：Do you think( that )the children need to make green tea?  表达一个不确定的话题：你认为孩子们需要沏绿茶吗？
假如改写成：Do you think if the children need to make green tea?  你认为孩子们是否需要沏绿茶呢？  这两个句子表达的意思难道不一样吗？
