想要拒绝总是不好意思直接说出口？让我们看看在英语里面可以怎样委婉地表达拒绝。
在《绝望主妇》（Desperate Housewives ）第一季里面，经常会听到这样一句话，“I’m not sure.”如果仅从字面上看，也许会把它理解为“我不能肯定”的意思。但在口语里面，它更多是用来表达委婉的拒绝。
比如在剧中有这样一段对话：
Mrs. Greenberg: Well, do you know how to drive a stick?
你会开车吗？
Susan: Yes, I think so. I learned in college. It’s like riding a bike, right?
我想我会，我在大学的时候学过，就像骑自行车一样，对吗？
Mrs. Greenberg: I’m not sure, dear.
亲爱的，我不敢借你。
如果想表达不确定的意思，一般在英语里会说“I guess. I believe so.”等等。
另外的表示拒绝的表达法还有：
A: Try this one. It cleans your blackhead in a flash.
试试这个，它会在瞬间去除你的黑头。
B: I think I will pass. It looks painful.
不了，看上去会很疼。
还有强硬的拒绝：
You want to buy my land with one dollar? Over my dead body.
你想用一美元买我的地，做梦！
He wants to marry me? No way.
他想娶我？下辈子吧！
当然“no way”的意思还要看情境而定，看这个例子：
A: Look at the car, it’s all yours.
这辆车是你的了。
B: No way!
真的吗，我都不感相信！
Once you have chosen to marry him, there is no way back.
一旦你决定嫁给他，就没办法回头了。
