你知道我是干什么的吗
One night a hotel caught fire, and the people who were staying in it ran out in their night clothes.
Two men stood outside and looked at the fire.
“Before I came out,” said one,“I ran into some of the rooms and found a lot of money.People don't think of money when they're afraid. When anyone leaves paper money in a fire, the fire burns it. So I took all the bills that I could find. No one will be poorer because I took them.”
“You don't know my work,” said the other.
“What is your work？”
“I'm a policeman.
“Oh！” cried the first man. He thought quickly and said,“And do you know my work？”
“No,”said the policeman.
“I'm a writer. I'm always telling stories about things that never happened.”

一天晚上一家旅馆着火，里面的人穿着睡衣便跑了出来。

两个人站在旅馆外看着熊熊燃烧的火焰。
“Before I came out,” said one,“I ran into some of the rooms and found a lot of money.People don't think of money when they're afraid. When anyone leaves paper money in a fire, the fire burns it. So I took all the bills that I could find. No one will be poorer because I took them.”
“我出来前，”一个人说道，“我冲进了一些房间发现了很多钱。人们在恐惧的时候就想不到钱了。如果有人把纸币留在火灾现场，一定会被火烧毁。所以不会有人因为我拿了这些钱而变穷。”
“You don't know my work,” said the other.
“你不知道我是做什么工作的吧。”另一个人说。
“What is your work？”
“你是做什么的？”
“I'm a policeman.
“我是警察。”
“Oh！” cried the first man. He thought quickly and said,“And do you know my work？”
“哦！”第一个人失声叫道。他迅速思考了一下说：“那你知道我做什么的吗？”
“No,”said the policeman.
“不知道。”警察回答。
“I'm a writer. I'm always telling stories about things that never happened.”
“我是一个作家。我经常说一些根本没发生过的故事。”

一夜一家旅馆着火了，住客们都纷纷穿着睡衣从里面跑出来。

两个男人很安全地跑到了外面，目目地看着熊熊热火。

在我跑出来的时候，我跑到其它住客的房间并找到了很多钱呢。其中 ，一个人说道。大家可能是太害怕了，所以都没有顾虑到钱。反正烧掉了也是烧掉了，所以我尽了全力把能拿的都抢出来了。所以没有一个人会很贫穷的，因为我帮他们拿出来了。
