  会说话的钟
  
  While proudly showing off new apartment to his friends, a college student led the way into the den. "What is the big brass gong and the hammer for?" one of his friends asked. "That is the talking clock," the man replied. "How's it work?"
  一个大学生向他的朋友们炫耀完他的新公寓之后，领着朋友们走进卧室，“那个大铜钟和锤子是干什么用的？”一个朋友问道。“那是一个会说话的钟”，他答道。“它是怎么工作的？”
  
  
  "Watch,"the man said proceeded to give the gong an ear-shattering pound with the hammer. Suddenly, someone screamed from the other side of the wall, "Knock it off（停下来）, you idiot! It's two o'clock in the morning!"
  
  “看着，”他便说边用锤子使劲敲了一下铜钟，突然，一个声音从墙的另一边传过来，“别敲了,你这个白痴！现在才凌晨两点钟！”

  一个大学生正在向他的朋友炫耀他的新公寓时，另一个大学生正好走进公寓。“那个大铜钟和锤子是干什么的呢？”他的一个朋友问道：“那是会说话的钟。”男生回复道。“那它是怎么运转的呢？”

  “你看，男生继续回复道，并用锤子轻轻地敲击那钟。突然，一个人从墙的另一諯大叫起来，“停下来，你这个白痴！”现在才凌晨两点钟呢。
