來自加拿大美艷動人的R&B才女Tamia，從小參加表演及歌唱的課程，讓Tamia展現出的精艷才華，獲得當地無數音樂獎項之肯定！在一次 Party 的聚會，被 Quincy Jones 所賞賜，慧眼獨到的簽入自創廠牌 Qwest 旗下，初試啼聲於 Quincy Jones 1994年的專輯「Q's Jook Joint」中，先發單曲"You Put A Move On My Heart"不僅成為排行暢銷之作，更獲葛萊美『節奏藍調最佳女演唱人』提名，專輯中另一首與 Babyface 合唱的"Slow Jams"，也同時被提名『節奏藍調最佳對唱組合』！隔年與R&B/SOUL三女伶 Chaka Khan、Gladys Knight 及 Brandy 為電影【Set It Off】合唱出的動人抒情佳作"Missing You"，又再度獲得葛萊美獎的提名！同時受到靈魂列車的青睞，獲得多項提名的肯定；1997再次為電影【Speed II: Cruise Control】獻唱的暢銷抒情曲"Make Tonight Beautiful"，再次贏得熱烈的迴響，並為電影獻出螢幕處女秀，其中爆笑之橋段留給觀眾記憶猶新的深刻印像！
還沒有一張正式出道專輯的 Tamia，早已是樂界期待許久最閃耀的新人！千呼萬喚下終在Quincy Jones 小心呵護精心製作，於 1998 年發行首張同名專輯，13首美麗動人的曲子，圍繞在 Tamia 感性甜美的嗓音鋪陳中！2000年的專輯「A Nu Day」中碎心單曲"Stranger In My House"，為她獲得首支流行榜Top10佳績，搖身一變的混音單曲，不僅成為全美舞池國歌，更是炙手可熱的暢銷單曲，2001年首次登上舞曲榜冠軍，2002年 Remixes 的版本，同樣連莊舞曲銷售榜NO.1！2004年，終於發行第三張專輯「More」！剛發行便躍居全美專輯榜第 17 名、R&B榜第 4 名的位置。製作混音群更是請來Jermaine Dupri、R Kelly、Babyface、Poke & Tone (Jennifer Lopez、Mariah Carey)、Duro (Ashanti、Joe)等黃金超陣容！早先於 2003 年所推出的單曲"Officially Missing You"混音單曲，再次成為舞棍的最愛，獲得舞曲銷售榜冠軍！原曲則在木吉他清柔伴奏下，呈現舒服無比的抒情小品！"On My Way"帶著些許拉丁音韻穿繞下，跟著Tamia性感搖擺；婉轉有致的優美合音及和諧音色，在"Still"中為您貼切流露；"I'm Yours Lately"則呈獻出靈魂美聲與動感節奏絕妙融合之詮釋。
