David Spritz, just like many other middle-class folks in American, who has a decent and well-paid job, driving a luxurious sedan and living in a pretty expensive department downtown of Chicago. In other people 's eyes everything in his life seems to be perfect, but literally life is not that perfect for everyone, of course David can not avoid, he is just experiencing the typical midlife crisis.
Actually David kinda lost his dierction in life and his life is totally a mess. His marriage was completely shattered and kids lived with his ex-wife, he is trying to be a good father and to handle all the problems his two kids brought on. His dying father used to be a so accomplished writer, and David is trying to convince him that he is not such a loser in his life. Anyway, he has to cope with all sorts of the relationships that between his father, his ex-wife, his kids and some absolutely strange guys of whom occasionally take it out on him by throwing all kinds of stuff at him.
Everyday David is on TV and predicting what the weather is gonna be like for the audience, so he thought he could also predict his life and he wants to get everthing in life under contral, which he tried but eventually failed. From Chicago to Newyork City, life doesn't change at all, the only thing that changed is his attitude, the attitude he has to life and people around.
Sometimes you have to give up someting and let them go to move on with your life, and life is just paying you back for how you treat it. Standing by the side of the crossroad, you won't decide which way to take, until you find who you really are and what you really want......
