   去赢得智者的尊敬和孩子的喜爱；
　　To earn the approbation of honest critics
   And endure the betrayal of false friends
   去赢得诚恳批评的认同和忍受虚假朋友的背叛。
To appreciate beauty;
　　To find the best in others;
   去欣赏爱，去发现最好的；
　　To give one’s self;
　　To leave the world a little better,
　　Whether by a healthy child,
　　A garden patch,
　　Or a redeemed social condition;
    学会无私地奉献,  给世界增添光彩:
   或者培育出健康的孩子, 或者留下花园一块, 邮或是改善社会条件;
   To have played and laughed with enthusiasm
　　And sung with exultation;
   去热情地玩和笑，去尽情地唱；
　　To know even one life has breathed easier，
　　Because you have lived...
   去探知尽管生命短暂，因为你活着...
　　This is to have succeeded.
